for answers at the suspect's home. >> good evening, everyone. thanks if for joining us. many new developments tonight. bomb experts are trying to secure 24-year-old james holmes' booby-traptd apartment. holmes was arrested that friday night, and has confessed to having several bombs inside his home. mo neck has the response here in maryland, but lets begin with teresa garcia with the latest from colorado. >> a controlled explosion went off inside the booby-trapped apartment of achylessed movie theater gunman james holmes. the blast was designed to help law enforcement get inside the apartment, which he said contained a complicated array of devices, trigger wires, chemicals, and ammunition. >> translator: the threat has not within completely eliminated. it has been significantly reduced. >> reporter: holmes is in custody, awaiting his first court appearance on monday. he's accused of massacring movie goers at the premier of the new batman film. >> a day before the shooting, some of his neighbors say they did make an impression on him. >> reporter: carl allen spoke with holmes on wednesday. >>

this. i forgot to say before, though, imagine backing up a month later, three weeks later, a u.s. open victory with another win, making him of course the fourth multiple winner in the year on the tour. got a chance and, yes indeed. it's a two-shot lead heading to sunday for webb simpson. nick: that puts a little bit of pressure on him. he's a player who's meant to do it, meant to win now. that adds a little bit of -- as i say that, it's the pressure to sunday. if you're meant to be the guy to finish it off, you have to go out there and show everybody. >> he's interesting in a mickelson kind of way. i've followed webb quite a lot. he'll make mistakes every now and then that the average player might make but he has that brilliance that goes along with it. very interesting to watch. jim: birdied five of the last 12 holes to shoot 65. now jonathan byrd. nick: only even today. he got steamrolled by a lot of players. jim: you were saying he played well. >> he did. he was two over early and played the last few in a couple under. he's the kind of player that could shoot low tomorrow. jim: he's

>>> good evening, everyone. thanks for joining us. i'm adam may. we have severe storms heading into the area right now. they are threatening most of the state. you may be noticing the clouds are thickening up a little in your area. we are currently under a thunderstorm warning for anne arundel and prince george's county. let's go straight to meteorologist bernadette woods. she is live with updated look at live doppler radar. >> we're going to show you live doppler radar. and anne arundel, prince george's, and calvert county. that is until 6:30. as for this thunderstorm here, it is not moving fast. not only is the threat for damaging winds gusting. but also a lot of rain out of any of these storms. now, we also had a flash flood warning in effect for harford county. this is where we had the severe thunderstorm just about an hour ago. and that storm has died down. but it left a lot of rain in southern parts of the county. that rain is until 8:00. i want to show you when we switch it over, that we have severe thunderstorm watch in effect for a good portion of the state. until 10:0
